Early Learner Daily Flow
Young learners thrive on rhythm, not rigid scheduling. This gentle structure anchors the day with Bible time, focused lessons, and plenty of movement and play.
Tips for Grades K-2
- 1
Formal lessons for K-2 should total no more than 90 minutes per day — the rest of learning happens through play, conversation, and read-alouds.
- 2
Do the hardest subject (usually phonics or math) right after Bible when the child is freshest.
- 3
If a lesson goes poorly, stop early. A short successful lesson beats a long frustrating one.
- 4
Read aloud every single day. This builds vocabulary, listening comprehension, and a love of learning faster than almost anything else.
"She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness."
